Privacy Policy

Structure is operated by Birthday Guy, LLC (“Structure,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a Colorado limited liability company. Structure is an integrated personal development system covering four disciplines: health (Sōma), relationships (Philia), learning (Logos), and skills (Technē). This policy applies to our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We collect only what we need to operate the Service. Specifically:

• Account information. Your email address and (optionally) your name, used for authentication and to personalize the app.
• Health data you enter. Pantry items, recipes, nutrition preferences, workouts, and goals. We do not access HealthKit unless you explicitly grant permission.
• Relationship data. Contacts you add, tier assignments, reminders, and notes. We do not import your device address book unless you initiate the import.
• Learning content. PDFs, articles, and other sources you upload, plus your passage attempts and progress.
• Skills data. Categories, modules, practice sessions, and assessment results you log.
• Subscription and purchase data. Confirmation that you have an active subscription (via Apple or Stripe). We never receive your card number.
• Device and diagnostic data. Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports, used to keep the app stable.

We do not collect precise location, contact lists without consent, advertising identifiers, or track you across other apps and websites.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
• Generate AI-assisted content (nutrition labels, passage questions, practice suggestions) using the data you explicitly hand to those features.
• Send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, reminders you enabled).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-context behavioral profiling.

When you upload a PDF, article, or ask Structure to generate a recipe, passage, or practice plan, we send the relevant content to Anthropic’s Claude API to produce the output. Anthropic processes this content on our behalf under a zero-retention arrangement and does not use it to train models.

Content you do not explicitly submit to these features is never sent to an AI provider.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, each bound by a data processing agreement:

• Vercel — hosting, edge delivery, and file storage (Vercel Blob).
• PlanetScale — managed Postgres database.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Apple and Stripe — subscription billing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case we will notify you).

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from production systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, financial records).

You can access, export, correct, or delete your personal information at any time from the app, or by emailing privacy@s-t-r-u-c-t-u-r-e.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to:

• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU/UK/EEA residents).
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (California, Colorado, Virginia, and similar states) — though we do not sell or share your information for cross-context advertising.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

We protect your information with industry-standard measures: TLS in transit, encryption at rest, short-lived authentication tokens, least-privilege access, and regular dependency updates. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours private.

Structure is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Structure is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
